Storm in a Tory Teacup

Thursday, October 8th, 2015

Why all the fuss about Corbyn and the privy council from the right wing papers?

Cameron was approved to join the Privy Council on December 14, 2005, when he was elected Leader of the Opposition. The privy council sat in January and February, both times Cameron could have taken the oath but could not attend. He finally took the oath on 8th March.

There was no mass media hysteria or calls for him to entombed in the Tower, no lurid headlines about him disrespecting the Queen.

Earlier this week Corbyn sent a message to the Queen apologising for being unable to attend on this occasion. So all just a storm in a teacup, non story attempting to stir the pot.
